EMEIA Travel Mart Ltd (Trading as CheapFlyShop)
Non-ATOL Online Travel Agency • IATA TIDS Member

1. About Us and Our Role

CheapFlyShop is the trading name of EMEIA Travel Mart Ltd (Company Number 11576383, VAT 319546778), registered in the United Kingdom with its registered office at 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4AN.

We are a Non-ATOL Online Travel Agency and an IATA TIDS Member. We act solely as a booking intermediary and do not operate flights.

  • Tickets are issued through contracted suppliers and consolidators.
  • Your contract of carriage is with the operating airline.
  • ATOL protection applies only where supplied under a supplier's ATOL licence.
  • We collect payment and arrange ticket issuance on your behalf.

2. Booking Process, Lead Prices and Confirmation

2.1 Booking Process

Bookings may be made online through CheapFlyShop or by telephone. All prices and availability displayed on our website remain subject to confirmation.

Many advertised fares are promotional or lead prices supplied by airlines and consolidators. These fares may change or be withdrawn without notice before ticketing.

2.2 48-Hour Review Period

After your booking request and payment authorisation have been received, we may require up to 48 hours to verify availability and confirm ticket issuance.

  • Verify live availability
  • Confirm airline fare
  • Issue ticket through supplier
  • Contact you if fare changes

If the original fare is unavailable, we will offer the nearest available alternative. You are under no obligation to accept the revised option.

Should you decline, we will cancel the booking and refund any amount collected, subject only to disclosed third-party non-refundable charges.

2.3 Final Confirmation

Your booking becomes legally binding only when an e-ticket or airline booking reference (PNR) has been issued.

3. Accuracy of Passenger Details

Passengers are responsible for ensuring all booking information is accurate before ticket issuance.

  • Names must exactly match passports.
  • Travel dates should be verified.
  • Routes and destinations must be checked.
  • Passport details must be correct.

Most airlines do not permit name corrections after ticket issuance. Incorrect information may result in denied boarding or loss of ticket value.

Please notify CheapFlyShop immediately if any errors are discovered.

4. Payment

Full payment is normally required at the time of booking. We accept major credit cards, debit cards and bank transfers where applicable.

Payments are processed securely through our authorised payment providers. Your bank or card statement may display either CheapFlyShop or one of our approved payment processors as the merchant.

Before ticket issuance, we reserve the right to carry out identity verification and fraud prevention checks.

  • Additional identification documents may be requested.
  • Payment authorisation does not constitute ticket confirmation.
  • Bookings may be cancelled if payment cannot be verified.
  • Incorrect card details may result in cancellation.
  • We reserve the right to refuse any booking where fraud is suspected.

Where payment is declined or verification requirements are not satisfied, your booking request may be cancelled without ticket issuance.

5. Tickets, Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Airline fare rules determine whether a ticket may be changed, cancelled or refunded. These rules vary between airlines and fare types.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, most promotional and discounted airline tickets are:

  • Non-refundable
  • Non-transferable
  • Non-changeable or subject to substantial airline penalties

Any request to amend or cancel your booking must be submitted through CheapFlyShop. We will forward your request to the airline or supplier on your behalf.

Changes

  • Airline change penalties may apply.
  • Additional fare differences may be payable.
  • CheapFlyShop service charges may apply where permitted.
  • Changes are subject to airline approval and seat availability.

Refunds

Where a refund is approved by the airline, we will process it after receiving the refunded amount from the airline or supplier.

Refund processing commonly takes between 8–12 weeks, although some airlines may require a longer processing period.

Flight schedule changes, cancellations, delays, route changes and operational decisions remain the sole responsibility of the operating airline.

6. Baggage – Important Notice

Baggage allowances are determined solely by the operating airline and the fare purchased. CheapFlyShop does not determine baggage entitlements.

Important: Many airline fares, including Basic, Saver, Light and Promotional fares, do not include checked baggage.

Many airlines also restrict cabin baggage to one small personal item. Standard cabin baggage often requires an additional purchase.

  • Always check your e-ticket before travelling.
  • Review airline baggage policies carefully.
  • Observe airline size and weight limits.
  • Additional airport baggage charges can be significantly higher.
  • Oversized baggage may be refused by the airline.

CheapFlyShop accepts no responsibility for:

  • Excess baggage charges.
  • Airport baggage fees.
  • Additional cabin baggage charges.
  • Denied boarding resulting from baggage non-compliance.
  • Any baggage-related decisions made by the airline.

7. Our Liability

CheapFlyShop acts solely as a booking intermediary between customers and travel suppliers.

As such, we are not responsible for the performance, actions or omissions of airlines, hotels or other third-party suppliers.

  • Flight delays
  • Flight cancellations
  • Denied boarding
  • Lost or delayed baggage
  • Schedule changes
  • Operational disruptions

These matters remain the responsibility of the operating airline under its Conditions of Carriage and applicable international law, including the Montreal Convention where applicable.

CheapFlyShop accepts liability only for proven negligence or material misrepresentation in providing our agency services and only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • Any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

Except where prohibited by law, our total liability for any booking shall not exceed the total amount paid to CheapFlyShop for that booking.

8. Passports, Visas & Travel Documents

Every passenger is solely responsible for ensuring that they hold a valid passport and all documents required for their journey before travelling.

Travel documentation requirements vary depending on nationality, destination, transit points and airline policies. These requirements may change without notice.

  • Valid passport.
  • Required entry visas.
  • Transit visas where applicable.
  • Return or onward travel documentation.
  • Health certificates or vaccination requirements where applicable.
Important: Passengers should always check the latest travel advice issued by the relevant government authorities and embassies before departure.

CheapFlyShop accepts no responsibility for denied boarding, refused entry, deportation, missed flights or additional expenses resulting from incorrect, expired or missing travel documentation.

9. Special Requests, Assistance & Meals

Requests for special services are accepted as requests only and cannot be guaranteed until confirmed by the operating airline.

These requests may include:

  • Special meals.
  • Seat preferences.
  • Wheelchair assistance.
  • Medical assistance.
  • Sports equipment.
  • Assistance for passengers with reduced mobility.
  • Infant travel arrangements.

CheapFlyShop will forward your request to the airline where applicable, however confirmation remains entirely at the discretion of the airline.

Passengers travelling during pregnancy or with medical conditions should carefully review the airline's medical travel policy before making a booking.

We strongly recommend contacting the airline directly before travel to confirm that any approved special assistance remains recorded on your booking.

10. Website Accuracy & Pricing Errors

CheapFlyShop makes every reasonable effort to ensure that information, prices and availability displayed on our website are accurate at the time of publication.

Airline inventory changes continuously and occasionally technical or pricing errors may occur.

  • Displayed fares are subject to live airline availability.
  • Promotional fares may expire without notice.
  • Displayed taxes or surcharges may change.
  • Technical errors may affect published prices.

Prices are not guaranteed until tickets have been issued and your booking has been confirmed.

If a genuine pricing error has occurred, CheapFlyShop reserves the right to cancel or amend the booking before ticket issuance.

Where this occurs, customers will be offered one of the following:

  • The opportunity to pay the correct fare.
  • An alternative itinerary where available.
  • A full refund of all monies paid to CheapFlyShop.

11. Events Beyond Our Control

CheapFlyShop shall not be liable for any failure, delay or inability to perform our obligations where such circumstances are beyond our reasonable control.

These circumstances include, but are not limited to:

  • Airline strikes or industrial action.
  • Airport closures.
  • Severe weather conditions.

Where possible, we will make reasonable efforts to assist customers in obtaining updated travel information or alternative arrangements. However, all operational decisions remain the responsibility of the airline or relevant supplier.
